This ethnographic study analyses the (re)production of gender in the classroom. It is theoretically grounded in the ethno-methodological approach and inspired by the poststructuralist research of children and gender. This focuses on 11-13 years old children in school environment (music, art, and family education classes). The analysis applies a complex perspective on gender reproduction within the classroom and focuses on gender at distinct levels (the level of everyday interaction, the level of discourse and positioning of individuals within the discourse, and the level of individual identities and the importance of gender for girls and boys).

Academic dishonesty is a phenomenon whose high frequency among students is confirmed by research conducted in Poland, Europe and abroad. It is a problem due to the fact that it leads to a decrease in the knowledge presented by students and the transfer of rewarding experiences related to dishonesty to other areas of life. The aim of this publication is to pre-sent the current knowledge on psychological determinants, prediction, and prevention of academic dishonesty among students, to present the results of research conducted in the above areas and to formulate on their basis conclusions about application possibilities in the academic community.

Improving school leadership is now high on the list of priorities for school reform. Principals are considered key actors responsible for the successful management of all administrative functions of schools. They bear a great responsibility for maintaining the effective internal functioning of school systems, representing the schools in the community, and implementing educational policies. Principals also act as role models who promote the ethical and professional growth of teachers and other professional staff. Ultimately, school leaders have an indirect but significant impact on student learning and achievement. The purpose of this exploratory study was to determine the social representation of competencies needed for an effective school principal to manage the administrative and instructional process. The participants were 119 female teachers who teach at the elementary level. A standardized task based on the free association method was used to collect data. Participants’ responses were analyzed lexically and semantically to differentiate associations from a qualitative perspective. The structural approach based on the analysis of prototypical categories was also used. The qualitative and quantitative analyzes revealed three facets of teachers’ representation of the competencies of a successful school leader. These dimensions included: a) the mission and basic competencies of a school leader; b) managing interpersonal relationships; c) skills, attitudes, and motivation for managerial career.

Teachers' Perception of the Phenomenon of Cyberbullying During the Covid-19 Pandemic

Cyberbullying is a negative social phenomenon that takes place online. It consists of harassing technology users through various means and various platforms. Frequent exposure to this phenomenon can cause emotional, mental and social problems for victims, witnesses and aggressors.In the current pandemic context, when education has shifted to the online environment, and students spend a significant amount of time using different devices and online platforms, the number of cyberbullying cases is constantly increasing. There is currently little research describing how this phenomenon influenced online aggression.In preventing and eliminating this phenomenon, teachers play an important role, due to the time they spend with students and the impact they can have on them.In order to identify teachers' perceptions of this phenomenon during the pandemic and how they manage it in the classroom, we conducted a qualitative research on 10 teachers from primary and secondary schools. The results of the research were interesting and offered a new perspective on this phenomenon during Covid-19 crisis.

STORYTELLING ŞI DIGITAL STORYTELLING – IMPLICAŢIILE UTILIZĂRII ACESTORA ÎN PREŞCOLARITATE

The story as a possible solution to the problems faced by preschoolers and the adults around them represents the premise of using storytelling and digital storytelling at preschool age (and beyond). Recurring themes or particular contexts are exposed, through these techniques, anchoring fictional characters in fantastic worlds, mirroring the real plan. Ideas, feelings, character traits, elements of verbal, nonverbal and paraverbal expressiveness, as well as images/photos, animations, music, audio/video recordings, special effects, etc. facilitates the literacy of preschoolers, including in its digital version. The purpose of this paper is to relate these realities from the preschool universe, where through storytelling and digital storytelling, on the one hand, topics of interest are brought to the attention of children and, on the other hand, preschoolers exercise the role of active listener and even storyteller.

The research of tolerance to uncertainty and self-esteem as an individual predisposition to report to complex social and professional situations is particularly current and important in the context of the pandemic that revealed several psychological problems. The psycho-emotional well-being of the population is interpreted as the way the person perceives himself, evaluates his life, the way he feels and activates on a personal and social level. This interpretation has changed during the pandemic crisis. Young people mention that in moments of uncertainty their safety is affected, which leads them to make impulsive, anxiety-filled choices. Respectively, self-esteem undergoes changes with the confrontation of situations full of uncertainty. A high level of self-esteem allows people to act effectively, to cope with the difficulties of existence.

THE IMPORTANCE OF NON-FORMAL ACTIVITIES IN THE RELIGIOUS EDUCATION OF YOUTH

The non-formal education is a constantly evolving concept in all areas of education. Religious education makes no exception, and, therefore, the principles of non-formal education are to be applied also in the activities organized by the Church with the children and young people. This article focuses on presenting the most important principles of the non-formal activities and the value brought by these activities to the development of young people. Also, the article will present relevant examples of successful non-formal activities already applied within the Church. In a progressively modern world, the need for adapted tools increases. Thus, the tools in education must also be adapted to the requirements of the modern world, so that the new generation can receive and apply voluntarily its principles. For the Church, this does not mean that the religious principles have to change. It only means that the tools and instruments have to be adapted and used properly so that the new generation can embrace the Word of God and to apply the Christian principles of living in their current way of life.

Entering the profession is an important step for any young person who completes his or her studies, whether high school or university. The decision to enter the teaching profession is one of great responsibility, and the psycho-pedagogical and specialist training should facilitate professional insertion. The present study looks at the decision that young people with a bachelor's degree and a psycho-pedagogical training, current master's students, have taken to enter the teaching profession or not. One of the arguments expressed by young people for not yet entering into the teaching profession is the need for further psycho-pedagogical and specialist training, which could in fact cover at the young person an anxious structure. We understand anxiety as a feeling of fear experienced as a reaction to a stressful situation, accompanied by feelings that have a dysfunctional effect on the individual's mental life.

Often the dilemma of novice teachers is related to the quality of student-teacher relationship. A good teacher is one who creates a safe and creative environment for students, which allows them to become confident and eager to learn. Thus, students will have the courage to express their emotions, personal opinions, without fear of being labelled. When students show they are “angry about a low grade” or reactions of anger/frustration towards other colleagues, that creates a situation of challenge for the beginner teacher. She or he has the chance to capitalize on both personal and professional abilities. The study presented in this article aims to identify the perception of beginning teachers regarding the management of relations with the group of students. The results fundaments a mentoring program that aimed to optimize the interaction between the beginning teacher and the students.

PRESCHOOLERS’ GRAPHIC SKILLS: TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

Psychomotricity and the development of pregraphic acquisitions in preschool children involve components such as body schema knowledge, spatial organization and orientation, laterality, and temporal organization. By means of these dimensions of development, the child orients himself and then operates with concepts indispensable for his development and integration towards other educational environments such as kindergarten and then school. The preschool period is the beginning of manifestation of the most important motor, cognitive and affective acquisitions, which, through specific activities and games, facilitate the formation of fine skills in the child and prepare him for the execution of the gestures that writing actually requires. The entire physical, cognitive and graphic evolution of the preschool child is correlated with the development of motor skills and the rest of the developmental dimensions, and relevant in this sense, on the dimension of stimulation and development of fine motor skills, are the child's scribbling, drawing and writing stage.
