Summary/Abstract: This article aims to clarify the nature of the citation, as a legitimate and necessary activity and to present its diversity, based on the provisions of the law. The relation between citation and the right to cite in the context of constitutional civil rights is indicated. The various aspects of artistic citation are analyzed through a contemporary perspective, including the topic of plagiarism.
