Criteria and Priorities for Sustainable Development of Agriculture of Kazakhstan

Summary/Abstract: The article considers theoretical and methodological approaches to research of sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan (the complex) in modern conditions. The purpose of the article is to develop the main criteria for sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan at this period of development of the country's economy. Based on the methods of statistical analysis and economic and mathematical modeling, a multifactorial multiplicative model was formulated, which allowed to study the influence of a large number of factors on the generalizing indicators and thereby achieve more accurate analytical data. As a result of the analysis, the priorities of sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex of the country and ways to improve its efficiency were developed. The most important directions of sustainability in the development of the agro-industrial complex have been developed. Such as increase of sustainable development of agro-industrial complex; effective state regulation; implementation of technological, process and product innovations in; increase in the quality of processed products at agro-industrial enterprises; improvement of living standards in agricultural regions.
