The Social Autobiography – A Method of Investigation in Social Knowledge

Summary/Abstract: In the context of general methodology of social sciences and especially of sociology,the social biography can be considered not only complementary but also indispensable for the system of methods. This method of investigation can be defined anthropologicaly as reproducing, orally or in wrighting, by the particular subject of research, of events and actions, in which he took place or which he has witnessed for a defined period of time or for the entire life. Biography can be defined sociologicaly as an instrument relating the experiences of a subject as human actor and as participant in social life.;this method can be implemented in different forms of usage, in front of the finality of investigation and in front of other methods that were used; professional biographies are the most used.
